With reference to your letter No. 53846/38 of the
24th March, regarding the proposed erection at Hong Kong
of a factory for the manufacture of commercial and
military aeroplanes, I am directed by Viscount Halifax
to inform you that he concurs in the proposal to hold
an Interdepartmental meeting to consider this question.
2. Copies of this letter are being sent to the
Admiralty, War Office, Air Ministry and Board of Trade.
